Spelling Activities
Using those words you may choose any of the following activities to practice. You must choose a different activity each night (Monday-Thursday). These activities are to be turned in daily.
Activities:
• Create a word search puzzle using all spelling words. Be sure to add an answer key.
• Write each word in your best cursive writing.
• Create a crossword puzzle using each word, and be sure to add an answer key.
• Write a complete sentence containing each spelling word.
• Make a set of flash cards for the words. Write the word on the front and draw a picture to illustrate the word or the definition of the word on the back.
• Write the phonetic pronunciation of each word. Use a dictionary to help.
• Write a word that rhymes with each spelling word.
• Write a synonym for each word.
